Bounties let you outsource ad-hoc and small-scale tasks for your project. You can focus on your project’s core work by hiring freelancers whenever you need extra bandwidth. Bounties are also flexible and can cover various tasks, such as coding, writing, design, and research! See an illustrative, comprehensive list here.
Superteam helps distribute bounties on behalf of Solana projects to its large network of crypto talent. We have hosted bounties for a bunch of Solana projects in the past, such as the Solana Foundation, Switchboard, Dialect, Squads, Pyth, Wormhole, and more!
Contract & Open Bounties
Bounties can be split into two categories, depending on whether only selected people, or anyone can work on them:
Contract Bounties
These are application-based bounties. The sponsor goes through the applications and selects the person that will eventually work with them to complete the work.
These allow for more control / collaboration over the entire process; relevant when giving exact context is important and the task is relatively bigger (>1 week, usually).
Examples: Design a webpage, develop a website, develop a discord bot, etc.
Open Bounties
These are fundamentally open competition bounties. Anyone can choose to participate and start working on these bounties permissionlessly.
Great for raising awareness, and getting various perspectives; relevant when the work doesn’t require close collaboration and/or is short-term.
Examples: Long-form essays on your project, industry research, logo design, content creation, etc.
