In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that deliver exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in backend technologies will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and functionality of our applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.<h3 class="heading-node">Required Skills</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>Founder mindset: Worked on side projects, can make fast decisions, wants to wear multiple hats, and deeply cares about users.</li><li>Backend Technologies: 3+ years of experience in NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript.</li><li>Database Management: Proficiency with PostgreSQL, SQL, and experience with any ORM tools.</li><li>Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub for repository management and collaboration.</li><li>Testing Frameworks: Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Vitest, Mocha, Jest, or similar.</li><li>Experience working with blockchains (EVM/Solana) is a plus.</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Responsibilities</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.</li><li>Manage and optimize database structures and queries to ensure high performance and efficiency in PostgreSQL.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features.</li><li>Monitor and ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend applications.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues.</li><li>Uphold best practices in code quality, structure, and maintainability, with a focus on automation and process improvement.</li><li>Develop scripts and tools to streamline operational workflows and enhance productivity.</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Tech Stack</h2>The project will involve developing a fully functional website with interactive features, database management, and seamless integration of third-party APIs. The tech stack will include but not be limited to:<ul class="list-node"><li>Back-end: NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript.</li><li>Database: MongoDB, MySQL</li><li>Additional tools: Git, RESTful APIs</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Evaluation Criteria</h2>Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:<ul class="list-node"><li>Previous experience in building products (founded or hackathons)</li><li>Ability to work with different databases and integrate various APIs seamlessly</li><li>Understanding of blockchain transactions</li><li>Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices in web development</li><li>Debugging skills (cz AI would be able to do most of the code)</li><li>It’s okay if you’re still in college, your work speaks for itself.</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Estimated Time to Complete</h2>The project is expected to be completed within<ul class="list-node"><li>First 3 months: $1500/mo</li><li>An option for a full-time opportunity: $2000/mo</li></ul>Note: The selected candidate will be required to participate in regular progress meetings and provide timely updates on the project's status.<h2 class="heading-node">Payment Logistics:&nbsp;</h2><ul class="list-node"><li>25% upon the start of the project&nbsp;</li><li>50% on completion of half of the agreed scope</li><li>25% once the project has been completed</li></ul>
