Overview

Superteam Korea is teaming up with Code States, RocketPunch, and RocketBoost — leaders in developer education and real-world job training in Korea — to launch a purpose-driven Earn Track at the global Solana Breakpoint Hackathon (April 14 – May 16, 2025).

This track aims to bridge blockchain innovation with real-world impact, empowering developers to build solutions that aren’t just cool demos — but tools, infrastructure, and applications that are relevant, adoptable, and actually needed in the Solana ecosystem and beyond.

🔎 What We’re Looking For

We’re not looking for just another hackathon demo — we’re looking for strong, MVP-level ideas with clear potential, built by teams who understand the problem and are ready to keep building.

Why this? Why now? And why on Solana?

Your submission should tell a story:
What problem did you personally run into — in work, life, or while building — that made you realize “this should exist”?
Why is Solana the right place to solve it?

We’re especially excited about projects that:

• Address a real user need or market gap where Solana’s strengths — low fees, fast finality, composability — make a real difference

• Show a founder’s mindset — grounded in lived experience or deep curiosity

• Have the potential to grow, whether that means further development, user testing, or even partnerships after the hackathon

Ultimately, we want to back teams who aren't just hacking — but building something real, needed, and ready to grow.

🧩 Sector Focus

There’s no fixed vertical — projects from all sectors are welcome.
That said, we’re especially excited about ideas in:

• AI — especially when paired with Solana’s speed and low-cost compute

• Consumer Apps — intuitive, mobile-first products that solve real problems

• Stablecoins — infrastructure, use cases, or local payment solutions

Total Prize Pool: $10,000

*** Milestone-based payouts will be distributed within 6 months of the hackathon end date if project goals, as defined by CODESTATES, are met

Pitch Requirements & Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Usability: Is the product intuitive and accessible for users of all technical levels, including CODESTATES and its partners?

2. Effective Use of Blockchain: Does the solution rely meaningfully on Solana’s capabilities as a core part of its functionality?

3. Adoptability: Is the solution practical and likely to be adopted by CODESTATES, its partners, or communities, with clear benefits?

4. Data Residency: Does the project comply with Korean data laws and use suitable local infrastructure for data handling?
