We’re looking for a developer to build a Telegram onboarding bot for Superteam.
The bot will help onboard new members by:
Redirecting them to an Intro Channel
Enforcing a standard introduction format
Preventing participation in the main group until an intro is completed
This bot will be used in a real, active Web3 community, not a demo.
Create a Telegram bot that ensures every new member introduces themselves properly before engaging in the main group — improving context, collaboration, and community quality.
Detect when a user joins the Telegram group
Automatically send a welcome message (DM or in-group)
The bot should send (or closely mirror) the following message:
👋 Welcome to Superteam MY!
To get started, please introduce yourself in this format 👇
This helps everyone get context and makes collaboration easier.
Intro format:
• Who are you & what do you do?
• Where are you based?
• One fun fact about you
• How are you looking to contribute to Superteam MY?
No pressure to be perfect — just be you!
Bot checks if the user has posted at least one message in the Intro Channel
Optional (bonus): Heuristic validation that the intro roughly follows the format
Once completed, mark the user as “introduced”
Before intro is completed:
User cannot send messages in the main group
OR
Bot auto-deletes their messages and reminds them to introduce themselves
After intro:
User can participate normally
Bot should include or reference this example (message, pinned post, or command):
✨ Example intro
Hey everyone! I’m Marianne 👋
Together with Han, we are Co-Leads of Superteam Malaysia!
📍 Based in Kuala Lumpur and Network School
🧑🎓 Fun fact: My first Solana project was building an AI Telegram trading bot, and that's how I found myself in Superteam MY!
🤝 Looking to contribute by:
• Connecting builders with the right mentors, partners, and opportunities
• Helping teams refine their story, demos, and go-to-market
• Supporting members who want to go from “building quietly” → “shipping publicly”
Excited to build alongside all of you — feel free to reach out anytime 🙌
