Mission

Learn to work with Solana RPC, understand transaction structure, and decode transactions via Anchor IDL. This is a foundational skill for any developer who wants to build infrastructure or analytics on top of Solana programs.

Scope Detail

Build an indexer for Solana programs with the following functionality:

- Accept an IDL as a JSON file or as an IDL account address on the network

- Index transactions via RPC within a specified range of slots or signatures

- Decode instructions using Anchor IDL and store the results in a database

- REST API with two endpoints: get data for a specific transaction by signature, and get a list of transactions with filters (by instruction name or signer)

- Configuration via environment variables (RPC URL, DB connection, program ID, etc.)

- Docker Compose to run the indexer together with the database in a single command

- Basic logging: startup, indexing progress, errors

Stack and database — your choice (TypeScript or Rust, PostgreSQL or SQLite, etc.).

Submission Requirements

• Public GitHub repository with a README:

- Architecture description

- Launch instructions

- API request examples

• A Twitter thread about the experience: what you built, what technical decisions you made, what was challenging, and what you learned.

Judging Criteria

• Correct instruction decoding via IDL,

• Complete REST API,

• Working Docker Compose,

• Code quality and project structure,

• README with instructions and examples.

Reward Structure

• 1st Place: 250 USDG

• 2nd Place: 200 USDG

• 3rd Place: 150 USDG
