About Coldstar

We're looking for a full stack engineer to help accelerate our project, specifically focusing on our mobile app. We need to convert our existing Android application into a fully functional iOS app. This gig is crucial for expanding our reach and ensuring our users have a seamless experience across platforms.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

The primary goal of this project is to deploy our existing Capacitor cross-platform application built with TypeScript and Rust to the iOS platform. Because Capacitor handles the native runtime container, the core task involves configuring the iOS project in Xcode and ensuring our TypeScript and Rust modules are compatible with iOS. Other tasks will involve making the app compliant for iOS and debugging the app to its main needs.

This includes:

• Feature Replication: Ensuring all existing functionalities of the Android app, including GPS/location services, camera integration, and push notifications, are fully operational on the iOS platform.

• UI/UX Adaptation: Replicating the exact design and user interface of the Android app on iOS, making necessary adjustments to align with iOS design guidelines while maintaining visual consistency.

• Third-Party Integration: Verifying and adapting any third-party services, APIs, or integrations for compatibility with iOS.

• Testing and Debugging: Rigorous testing across various iOS devices to ensure performance, stability, and adherence to Apple's standards.

• App Store Compliance: Ensuring the converted iOS app meets all Apple App Store guidelines for privacy, security, performance, and content to facilitate successful submission and approval.

• Full Source Code Delivery: Providing the complete, well-documented source code for the iOS application.

• Debugging & Fine Tuning: Before iOS development, we require the current version of Coldstar on the Seeker dApp store to be refined and cleaned up with our new features and UI.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in native iOS development using Swift or Objective-C.

• Strong understanding of Android app architecture and development (Kotlin preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to replicate existing UI/UX designs on a different platform.

• Expertise in integrating core mobile features like GPS/location services, camera, and push notifications within iOS applications.

• Familiarity with iOS development tools, frameworks, and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Previous experience in cross-platform app conversion (Android to iOS) is highly desirable.
