About Dawn Internet

DAWN are building a new user-owned Internet, with a Decentralized Broadband network. By leveraging rooftop antennas and a peer-to-peer marketplace built on Solana, DAWN empowers individuals to become self-sovereign internet providers. At the center of this movement is the Black Box, a powerful DePIN-ready router designed to host everything from peer-to-peer broadband to AI and privacy applications. We believe it’s inevitable that every household will one day include a toaster, an oven, and a Black Box.

The DAWN protocol and hardware together give users the tools and trustless infrastructure needed to deliver their own internet connectivity, backed by onchain transparency and security.

About the Bounty

Educate newcomers on why DAWN is Cypherpunk.

DAWN is the protocol for a new user-owned Internet. DAWN is a decentralized broadband network that enables users to deploy rooftop antennas, and sell Internet via a peer to peer marketplace on Solana. Users can become more soverign by becoming their own Internet providers, whilst paying users in crypto currencies.

A short overview of DAWNs rooftop antennas and the path to deployments with the Deployer Network is recommended. See the DAWN Deloyer Network on our webiste and/or the Sign-up Form.

Our partners and the Black Box specs are listed here. For example, the Black Box can provide compute for Arcium, supporting privacy enhancing technology. The Black Box can provide compute for inference.net, making user-owned AI a reality. The Black Box promo video is here. The article explaining the Black Box vision is here.

At the heart of DAWN is the Black Box: a next-generation router and hardware platform designed for the DePIN era. The Black Box isn’t just a WiFi router that allows you to sell internet p2p. It’s a home server capable of supporting DePIN and AI projects. We believe it’s inevitable that every household will one day include a toaster, an oven, and a Black Box.
