We're building for the next chapter of Web3, focusing on products that solve real-world problems, not just crypto-native ones. We do this through events like the Solana Cypherpunk Hackathon – NL Side Track.

Mission

Our main goal is to help you transform a practical idea into a working prototype that addresses real-world challenges using Solana.

Hackathon Track Scope

The Cypherpunk Hackathon – NL Side Track is designed to guide teams through an intensive build process. We're looking for projects that:

• Tackle tangible problems: Focus on areas like commerce, logistics, public services, or creative industries.

• Prioritize execution over hype: Move your idea to a working prototype within two weeks.

• Leverage community & mentorship: Benefit from continuous support from the Dutch ecosystem and experienced Solana builders.

What you can expect:

• Prep Weeks (from Oct 4): This includes mixers, workshops, and co-working sessions. We'll help with idea validation, Solana onboarding, and product-market fit guidance.

• Build Sprint (Oct 20–31 in Amsterdam): Two intensive weeks of daily stand-ups, one-on-one mentorship, design and development support, and evening founder circles.

• Demo Day Finale: Pitch your project to Solana ecosystem leaders.

Submission Requirements

• Develop a working prototype during the Build Sprint.

• Develop a presentation/pitch deck for the Demo Day Finale.

• The project must focus on addressing a real-world problem using Solana.

• Participation requires an application through the SYNL Linktree, as well as the submisison through ST Earn. (To be eligible for any grants)

Judging Criteria

Projects will be judged on the following:

• Usability: Is the product clear, functional, and valuable for its target audience?

• Blockchain Relevance: Does using Solana provide a clear advantage in solving the problem?

• Adoptability: Can you envision real users engaging with this product?

• Wow Factor: Does the project feel fresh, relevant, and exciting?

Reward Structure

• 1st Place: 2,500 USDC

• 2nd Place: 1,500 USDC

• 3rd Place: 1,000 USDC
