Superteam Australia exists to accelerate founders, builders, creatives, institutions and capital in Australia, and Australians globally, driving the future of internet capital markets.
We support the next generation of Australian founders and operators building across payments, digital assets, AI, infrastructure, consumer applications and emerging internet-native financial systems powered by Solana.
Beyond supporting founders and builders, Superteam Australia is also building a network of:
Storytellers
Researchers
Analysts
Creators
Filmmakers
Operators
Ecosystem contributors
who can help shape the future conversation around technology, startups, digital assets, policy and internet capital markets in Australia.
We believe strong narratives, thoughtful research and clear communication are critical to helping Australia remain globally competitive in the next era of innovation.
This bounty is part of a broader effort to identify talented individuals who can contribute to founder support, ecosystem growth, capital formation, policy discussions, media and storytelling, and the future of Australia's digital economy.
Outstanding contributors may have opportunities to work more closely with Superteam Australia on future initiatives, research, content, events and strategic projects.
Contributors are encouraged to prioritise practical recommendations and actionable insights over theoretical discussion.
Australia has produced world-class founders, startups and technology companies. At the same time, many founders still struggle to navigate the landscape of grants, incentives, funding pathways, industry bodies, support organisations and regulatory frameworks available to them.
While conversations often focus on what Australia lacks, there is less visibility into what already exists, what is working well, and how founders can access the support available today.
This bounty has two objectives.
First, to create a practical founder resource that maps the opportunities, support programs, funding pathways, communities and organisations available to digital economy startups in Australia.
Second, to produce a comprehensive deep dive that can help inform future conversations around innovation, investment and competitiveness across industry, government and the broader ecosystem.
The final output should be useful not only to founders, but also to operators, investors, industry bodies and policymakers seeking to better understand the current landscape, identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen Australia's competitiveness as a destination for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Create a comprehensive written deep dive exploring how founders building in Australia's digital economy can access support, capital, incentives and growth opportunities.
Your submission should help answer a simple question:
If I were building a digital economy startup in Australia today, what support exists, how do I access it, what opportunities are already available under current frameworks, who can help me, and what can Australia learn from other leading innovation ecosystems?
Contributors are encouraged to prioritise practical recommendations and actionable insights over theoretical discussion.
We encourage contributors to explore founder support programs, funding pathways, grants and incentives, industry bodies, startup communities, digital assets, emerging technology sectors, innovation policy and competitiveness.
Submissions are also encouraged to examine:
What is already possible under Australia's existing regulatory framework
Where founders are successfully operating today
Existing pathways available to startups, investors and digital economy businesses
Areas where uncertainty or friction remain
International examples Australia can learn from
Policies, incentives or frameworks that have improved competitiveness in other jurisdictions
Contributors may consider examples from Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, the European Union, the United States and other relevant markets.
We encourage contributors to evaluate organisations such as DECA, FinTech Australia, Spacecubed, Stone & Chalk and other relevant ecosystem participants where appropriate.
The strongest submissions will not only identify challenges, but also highlight what is already working and provide practical recommendations for founders, ecosystem participants and policymakers.
Submissions should be a comprehensive written deep dive of approximately 5,000–8,000 words.
This should feel closer to an ecosystem report, founder guide, industry analysis or policy briefing than a traditional blog post.
Contributors are encouraged to support their analysis with interviews, case studies, ecosystem maps, founder journeys, comparison tables, original graphics and practical recommendations.
The recommended length is 5,000–8,000 words, however more substantial submissions may resemble industry reports or research papers and extend beyond this range where appropriate.
The submission should serve two outcomes.
A practical and easy-to-navigate guide that helps founders understand available support programs, funding pathways, incentives, industry bodies, communities and key organisations operating within Australia's digital economy.
The goal is to create something founders can use as a practical guide when building and scaling a company in Australia.
A broader analysis of Australia's innovation, investment and competitiveness landscape that can be used by founders, operators, investors, industry bodies and policymakers.
This should evaluate what is currently available, what appears to be working well, where gaps remain and what opportunities exist to strengthen Australia's competitiveness.
A strong submission should be something founders can use, industry bodies can reference, policymakers can learn from and future working groups can build upon.
