Building the Foundation: Documenting the Dean's List DAO

The Dean's List DAO exists as a beacon of community-driven feedback and Service DAO in the Web3 space, but it lacks a structured set of documentation that delineates its purpose, processes, and protocols. In this track, we call on participants to create the foundational documents that will articulate the DAO's mechanisms, guide new members, and clarify its operations and governance.

Details:

  • DAO Overview: Provide a clear and concise introduction to the Dean's List DAO, outlining its mission, vision, and core values.

  • Operational Framework: Detail the operational aspects of the DAO, including its feedback loop, community engagement strategies, and any tools or platforms it utilizes.

  • Governance Structure: Describe the governance model of the DAO, including how proposals are made, debated, voted on, and implemented.

  • Member Onboarding: Create a comprehensive guide for onboarding new members, including roles, responsibilities, and how to contribute effectively.

  • Resource Compilation: Assemble a resource library with relevant literature, best practices, case studies, and any existing informal documentation.

References:

  • Use the Dean's List DAO's existing informal documentation and community knowledge as a base.

  • Research on DAO documentation standards and best practices.

  • Consult existing documentation from established DAOs to serve as a model.

Expected Output:

  • A complete set of documentation for the Dean's List DAO, which may include operational guidelines, governance framework, and onboarding manual.

  • Visual aids, diagrams, and flowcharts illustrating the DAO’s structure and processes, created with professional design tools.

  • A resource library organized in a user-friendly manner. Must be a PR to the Dean's List repo: https://github.com/Dean-s-List/deans-list-docs

Judging Criteria:

  • Clarity, thoroughness, and accuracy of the documentation.

  • Usability and accessibility of the guides for new and existing members.

  • The quality and professionalism of visual aids and resource organization.

  • Alignment with the Dean's List DAO’s ethos and the practical needs of the community.

Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Dean's List DAO, ensuring that all members have a clear understanding of how to engage with and contribute to this pioneering community!
