During the hackathon, we’re supporting Frontier builders with free access to high-performance Solana RPC infrastructure via RPC Fast.

Post-hackathon, winning teams can receive infrastructure credits in the form of monthly RPC plan subscriptions (up to 3 months), supporting up to 17 teams – keep building without hitting infra limits.

During the Hackathon

During the hackathon, your project can get free access to a dedicated Hackathon plan, including:

• 120M compute units/month

• 500 req/s RPC rate limit

• Unlimited bandwidth

• Shredstream / Yellowstone gRPC

• Frankfurt geo endpoint (we recommend deploying your app in the same region for lowest latency)

Hackathon Reward Structure

To help teams continue building after the hackathon, rewards are distributed as infrastructure credits across RPC Fast plans:

1st Place (up to 5 teams)
– 2 months of Aperture (equiv. to ~$5,000 total value) or Stream
or
– 3 months of Focus

2nd Place (up to 4 teams)
– 1 month of Aperture (equiv. to ~$2,000 total value) or Stream
or
– 3 months of Focus

3rd Place (up to 4 teams)
– 1 month of Stream (equiv. to ~$1,000 total value)
or
– 2 months of Focus

Bonus Awards* (up to 4 teams)

We’ll support the teams that actively used RPC Fast infra during the hackathon:

– 1 month of Aperture (equiv. to ~$2,000 total value) or Stream
or
– 2 months of Focus

*Using RPC Fast infra is mandatory to be eligible for the Bonus Award track.

Note: The reward structure may be adjusted to better align with the event and participating teams.

Submission Requirements

• Submission to Colosseum is mandatory (must follow official global hackathon rules)

• Public GitHub repository with your project code. If your repo is closed source, please grant access to Colosseum <judge's email address> for evaluation

• A clear README.md including:

  • Project overview

  • Setup & run instructions

• A short demo video or pitch deck

Judging Criteria

• Technical quality: engineering depth and execution

• Innovation: originality and creativity

• Impact: relevance and problem significance

• Demonstration: clarity of presentation

Important: Projects are not required to use RPC Fast infrastructure during the Frontier hackathon to be eligible for rewards (with the exception of the Bonus Awards track).

Bonus Award consideration: Projects that effectively leverage RPC Fast infrastructure and create real ecosystem value.

Terms & Conditions

• Submissions need to be made natively on Earn for them to be announced as winners.

• Allocation of post-hackathon rewards is determined solely by RPC Fast and is independent of the official Colosseum hackathon results.

• Rewards are available to teams regardless of whether RPC Fast infrastructure was used during the hackathon (with the exception of the Bonus Awards track).

• Teams may opt for a lower-tier subscription plan if it better fits their app architecture (the duration of the reward remains unchanged).

• Stated USDC values are based on the Aperture plan, even if a lower-tier plan is selected by the team.
