Track Overview

Research and write about the different aspects of Solana ecosystem's economics, such as:

Economic Incentives and Participation: Analyze the economic incentives for various stakeholders within the Solana ecosystem, including developers, validators, and users. Examine how these incentives promote network growth, security, and sustainability.

Tokenomics: Delve into the design and impact of Solana's tokenomics. Assess how its token distribution, supply mechanisms, staking rewards, and transaction fees influence user behaviour, network security, and the overall economic stability of the ecosystem.

Market Analysis: Examine Solana's market performance in comparison to other major cryptocurrencies. Analyze trends in its market capitalization, token price fluctuations, and trading volumes. Investigate what these trends indicate about investor confidence and market perception of Solana.

Comparative Study with Other Ecosystems: Compare and contrast Solana’s economic model with other blockchain ecosystems, like Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain. Focus on how differences in technology, governance, and community engagement impact their respective economies.

DeFi and NFT Impact: Explore how the growth of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on Solana contributes to its economic landscape. Analyze transaction volumes, user adoption rates, and how these sectors influence the overall economic activity on Solana.

Future Economic Projections: Provide educated predictions on Solana’s future economic performance. This may include potential growth areas, emerging sectors within the Solana ecosystem, and how external factors (like regulatory changes) might impact its economy.

Risks and Challenges: Identify and discuss the potential economic risks and challenges facing the Solana ecosystem. This could include issues like scalability challenges, competition from other blockchains, or vulnerabilities in its economic model.

Deliverable: Article posted on a blogging site (for eg: Medium, Substack, Notion, etc.) that is publicly viewable upon deadline.

Judging Criteria:

1. Originality: Novelty of ideas and insights 

2. Accuracy: Factual accuracy of the information and the relevance of the data used

3. Resources: Inclusion of resources to support your claims 

4. Writing Style & Presentation: Quality, readability and engagement level of your content 

Submission Requirements 

1. Your article will be rejected:

   • If it is not in English.

   • If the contents of the submission are less than 1,000 words

   • If it is found to be plagiarized

2. Attach links to any references used (if you have used external sources and no references are included, your submission could be rejected on grounds of plagiarism)

3. The link to your submission should be publicly viewable on and after the submission deadline. Private links will not be eligible.
