Hedge Your Fun is all about making it super easy to protect your real-life plans and crypto positions by using prediction markets. We're building a mobile-first app. This gig is about taking our functional MVP and getting it ready for prime time.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

This project involves bringing our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to a production-ready state. This means a lot of detailed development work to ensure everything is live, robust, and scalable.

• Integrate live API endpoints for Kalshi and Polymarket and other providers, replacing all mocked data for order placement, position tracking, and closing positions.

• Implement end-to-end functionality for Privy embedded wallets, including real-time USDC/SOL balance reads using Solana web3.js and SPL token accounts.

• Develop a persistent data layer, to store user hedge history, profit/loss records, and notification data, transitioning away from localStorage.

• Create real-time P&L updates, moving beyond the current 30-second polling mechanism.

• Manage and optimize the prompt pipeline, focusing on intent parsing, market matching quality, and robust edge case handling.

• Build referral and sharing functionalities, including shareable hedge cards and features for social proof.

• Strengthen API routes by implementing rate limiting, comprehensive error handling, retry mechanisms, and secure key rotation.

• Prepare the application for Android and iOS distribution, either through a Progressive Web App (PWA) strategy or a React Native wrapper.

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js for both frontend and backend development.

• Proven experience with database solutions, proficient in working with REST APIs and serverless architectures.

• Solid understanding of the Solana ecosystem, including web3.js, SPL tokens, wallets.

• Prior experience integrating third-party financial APIs, such as those from prediction markets or exchanges.

• Familiarity with on-chain settlement processes and designing intuitive wallet user experiences.

• A portfolio demonstrating successfully shipped consumer products – we're looking for individuals who build and deliver.

Compensation

• Fixed payment of 24000 USDC per year for a 12-month engagement.

• Equity/token allocation will be offered upon future fundraising.
