About

St Andrews Blockchain is Scotland’s leading Blockchain Society. We facilitate education around investing in, building and researching around blockchain technology. On the research side, we release a semesterly magazine, in which students can publish articles and research pieces based on their interests. We place great emphasis on the quality of the research, but also the aesthetic quality of the magazine design. This bounty incentivises students to build on our previous editions (https://ustablockchain.com/publications) to create even better designs than before.

What You Need to Do

Design the interior of our latest flagship magazine. Submissions need to be BETTER than our existing ones to win the prize - https://ustablockchain.com/publications. Winner will win the 1st place prize.

Submission Requirements

• Submissions in Canva or Illustrator

• Make use of the brand assets/inspiration/existing articles in the shared folder, which can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GJ_upjETM6gNmKGCWpuHOIrw1fDpcXm4?usp=sharing

• Fit the general urban aesthetic

Evaluation Criteria

• Fits the aesthetic we are looking for (urban)

• Can be readily ported over

Submission Criteria

1. The Essentials (Pass/Fail)

• Format: Submission must be editable (Canva or Illustrator).

• Assets: Must use provided brand logos/assets.

2. Interior Design Criteria ($300 Prize)

• Readability: Text must be clean and easy to read. The layout should support dense research content (not just look cool).

• The "Urban" Vibe: Does the design successfully use industrial, modern, or street-style elements?

• The "Upgrade" Factor: Is the design visibly higher quality and more professional than the current edition?
