Our SDK allows web2 apps to easily integrate web3 functionality without requiring developers to learn complex web3 concepts. With over 2 million users, we're growing rapidly.

We’re looking for a Developer Community Manager - Technical to join our DevRel + Community team and help foster and grow our developer communities across Discord, Telegram, and beyond.

Role Overview:

The Developer Community Manager will play a key role in supporting and growing Okto’s developer community by being the technical go-to person for clarifications, managing our developer groups on Discord and Telegram, and assisting with hackathons and bounty-related tasks. They will be dev-facing and will have to assist in answering technical queries related to Okto and bring opportunities to expand Okto dev community to us.

This individual will also assist with administrative tasks such as tracking bounties and projects, moderating developer discussions, and keeping an ear to the ground in other groups and protocols across Telegram and Discord.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support:

   1. Be the first point of contact for developers in our Discord and Telegram communities.

   2. Assist with technical clarifications regarding the Okto SDK, wallet integration, and general web3 development queries.

   3. Help developers troubleshoot issues with template apps, SDKs, and demo applications.

2. Community Management:

   1. Act as a moderator for Okto’s developer communities on Discord and Telegram, ensuring active, healthy, and engaging discussions.

   2. Respond to developer queries in a timely manner and provide useful resources, or escalate when necessary.

   3. Assist in organizing and moderating hackathons, workshops, and other developer events.

   4. Gather and relay developer feedback on SDKs, templates, and documentation to internal teams.

3. Hackathon & Bounty Support:

   1. Provide technical support during Okto-sponsored hackathons, ensuring participants have the resources they need to succeed.

   2. Assist in the administration of bounty programs, including tracking submissions, coordinating with the DevRel team, and managing reward disbursals.

4. Bounty Portal Administration:

   1. Help with the administration of the Okto Earn Portal by tracking ongoing bounties, projects, and developer contributions.

   2. Ensure accurate tracking of project statuses and bounty completions.

5. Community Outreach:

   1. Be Okto’s “eyes and ears” in other Telegram/Discord groups and web3 protocols, spotting collaboration opportunities and fostering relationships with other developer communities.

   2. Represent Okto at relevant community events and discussions across platforms.

Qualifications:

1. Technical Proficiency:

   1. Background in software development, with experience in web3, blockchain, or wallet integrations preferred.

   2. Experience with the Okto SDK or other web3 SDKs.

   3. Familiarity with Solidity, EVM-based chains, or other relevant blockchain frameworks.

   4. Knowledge of web3 developer tools like ethers.js, viem, Hardhat, Truffle, Rust or Move.

2. Community Management Experience:

   1. Previous experience moderating developer communities, managing Discord/Telegram groups, or running technical forums.

   2. Experience supporting developers in hackathons or similar collaborative environments.

3. Strong Communication Skills:

   1. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way.

   2. Experience working closely with developers and other technical stakeholders.

4. Bonus Skills:

   1. Experience organizing or supporting hackathons, workshops, or other developer events.

   2. Familiarity with managing core contributors, bounties, rewards disbursements, or similar administrative tasks.

Hiring process:

• This role has an initial trial period till end of Feb 2025 with a salary of $500 per month as USDC on Solana

• There will be 3 rounds of interview and a take home assignment - Web3 Technical, Community and HR
