RugCheck - Onchain Analysis

RugCheck aims to provide the most comprehensive token checking platform. Period.

This will be achieved by having a complete top-down view of the token ecosystem being evaluated through multiple heuristics pipelines allowing the platform to adapt as new scams appear.

To advance this mission, these bounties are focused on identifying suspicious patterns, visualizing connections between wallets, profiling risky behaviors, alerting users about potential threats through network analysis, leveraging community input for risk assessment and implementing preventative measures to protect users before they interact with potentially risky tokens. These topics involve active participation and intervention rather than just analysis.

Bounty Scope 

This bounty is open-ended. Participants can choose from any of the example topics below, or submit an original project on the topics.

Deliverable

A publicly accessible project on GitHub, or report posted on a blogging site (e.g., Medium, Substack, Notion, etc.) that is publicly viewable upon deadline.

Advanced Visualization & Network Analysis

• Enhanced Network Graph Visualization: Build interactive tools that simplify complex network graphs to clearly highlight insider relationships and suspicious wallet patterns

• Token Flow Tracking: Develop dashboards to visualize how funds move between wallets, with emphasis on identifying circular flows or concentration to single entities

• Cross-Token Network Analysis: Create tools that leverage the "Network's associated active tokens" API to show patterns of the same entities across multiple tokens

Wallet Intelligence & Profiling

• Wallet Risk Profiling: Build tools that analyze wallet behavior patterns and assign risk scores based on historical actions

• Social Media Linking: Develop systems that associate wallets with social media accounts to establish verifiable track records of token creators

• Insider Detection: Create tools that automatically identify potential insider wallets based on transaction timing and network position

Cross-Platform Data Aggregation

• Multi-Source Intelligence: Develop tools that combine RugCheck API data with other on-chain and off-chain data sources for comprehensive risk assessment

• Sentiment Analysis Integration: Build systems that correlate social media sentiment with on-chain data to identify potential manipulation campaigns

• Reputation Aggregation: Create platforms that compile token creator history across multiple projects to establish trust scores

Enhanced Reporting & Alerts

• Customizable Alert Systems: Develop personalized alerting tools for users to monitor specific tokens or wallet behaviors

• Comprehensive Token Reports: Build enhanced reporting dashboards that present Token Report API data in more accessible and actionable formats

• Insider Movement Alerts: Create systems that specifically monitor and alert on suspicious movements from wallets identified in the network graph

Community-Driven Risk Assessment

• Social Media Integration: Build Twitter/Discord bots that automatically reply to token shills with comprehensive risk scores and key metrics from Rugcheck's API

• Token Reputation System: Develop a community voting platform where users can flag suspicious tokens and enrich existing data by labeling wallet owners

• Crowdsourced Intelligence: Create a system for community members to submit evidence of suspicious activity that cross-references Rugcheck's network graph data

Tokenomics & On-Chain Behavior Analysis

• Liquidity Event Monitor: Build tools that track and alert on significant liquidity changes, particularly focusing on pre-rug patterns

• Timing Analysis Tools: Develop systems to correlate CEX withdrawals/deposits with token price movements to identify potential market manipulation

• Tokenomics Visualization: Create interactive tools that simulate different tokenomics scenarios and highlight potential vulnerabilities in token design

Real-Time Monitoring & Prevention

• Transaction Pre-Screening: Develop browser extensions or wallet integrations that analyze transactions before confirmation, highlighting potential risks

Reward Structure

This bounty will award a total of $7,000 split across the top 3 places:

• 1st place — $3,500

• 2nd place — $2,250

• 3rd place— $1,250

Judging Criteria

1. Accuracy: factual accuracy of the data and information presented in your project

2. Style: completeness, utility, depth, quality, and engagement level of your work

3. Originality: novelty of insights, analysis, and presentation (e.g. visualizations)

Content Criteria 

Your article will be rejected:

• If it is not written in English.

• If it is found to be plagiarized or stolen

• If it fails to include and cite proper references

• If the data or visualizations are not reproducible

• Your submission is not publicly viewable on and after the submission deadline. Submissions of private links will not be eligible.
