We value the sovereignty of founding, the skin in the game of investing, and the joy of getting stuff done.</p><h2 class="heading-node">Mission</h2><p class="text-node">Participate in the Mini Hackathon at AWS KL and go from idea to a working Solana project in one day. No prior Solana experience required — just show up, pick a track, and ship.</p><h2 class="heading-node">Scope Detail</h2><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Participate in a full-day build sprint on Solana at the AWS office in Kuala Lumpur on June 20.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Attend the solana.new workshop at the start of the day to get up to speed on the tool before building.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Utilize solana.new to develop and deploy a working Solana project — it handles frontend, backend, and smart contracts in one flow and can deploy production-ready code to mainnet.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Choose one of two side tracks to build in: FIFA World Cup or Payments. You can choose to do both, but we recommend focusing on one.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Focus on shipping a working proof of concept, regardless of prior Solana experience.</p></li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Tracks</h3><p class="text-node"><strong>FIFA World Cup</strong> Build something that makes the World Cup more fun and onchain. Fan engagement, prediction markets, ticketing, collectibles, or anything with genuine onchain utility. Not just a memecoin.</p><p class="text-node"><strong>Payments</strong> Build a product using Solana's recently released recurring payment protocol. Subscriptions, payroll, scheduled transfers, or any real-world billing use case that makes programmable money actually useful.</p><h2 class="heading-node">Submission Requirements</h2><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">A functional Solana project built during the hackathon on June 20.</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Project must be deployed or demonstrable by the end of the day.</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><span>Presentation slides need to be in Canva format, including name of project, 1-liner, problem, solution, PMF, business model, why Solana, team background. Recommended 10-12 slides.</span></p></li><li><p class="text-node">Any further submission instructions will be provided during the event. </p></li><li><p class="text-node">Open to all builders — prior Solana experience not required.</p></li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Judging Criteria</h2><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Problem Clarity (out of 10):</strong> Is the problem real and specific? Can the team articulate in one sentence who hurts and why? Vague "we are improving X" pitches score low. Specific user pain scores high.</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Solana-Native Integration (out of 10):</strong> Is Solana doing real work in the product — recurring payments protocol, on-chain transactions, wallet integration — or is it just a wrapper? For the Payments track, judges should specifically look for meaningful use of the new recurring payment protocol. For FIFA, look for genuine onchain utility beyond a basic mint.</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Working Demo (out of 10):</strong> Does it actually run? Even a proof of concept that demonstrates the core flow scores well. Teams that ship something functional beat teams with polished slides and nothing live. Built with solana.new gets bonus points for speed.</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Creativity and Track Fit (out of 10):</strong> How well does the idea fit the track theme — and is the angle fresh? For FIFA: is there a genuine fan or prediction use case? For Payments: does the recurring payment mechanic solve a real-world billing or subscription problem someone would actually pay for?</p></li><li><p class="text-node"><strong>Potential to Keep Building (out of 10):</strong> Could this become something real beyond today? Is the team excited about the problem, not just the prize?
