We help talented folks in Ukraine connect, learn, and contribute to the global Solana ecosystem.<h3 class="heading-node">The Problem</h3>Solana Pay is a powerful standard, but in-person transactions still rely on static QR codes or pre-programmed NFC tags. Neither feels like a true peer-to-peer experience.The obvious alternative - phone-to-phone NFC - breaks in practice:<ul class="list-node"><li>Bluetooth-based P2P destroys the UX. The physical sensation of a deliberate tap disappears, and pairing flows add unnecessary friction.</li><li>Raw NFC deeplink sharing on iOS triggers Apple Wallet instead of the intended app, breaking the flow entirely.</li><li>There is no open-source, production-ready solution for dynamic NFC payload delivery between two phones in a Solana Pay context.</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Mission</h3>Build an open-source native Expo module that enables seamless phone-to-phone NFC communication using APDU commands — preserving the natural "tap to pay" UX while correctly routing Solana Pay URLs on both Android and iOS, without triggering Apple Wallet or other conflicting system interfaces.<h3 class="heading-node">Scope Detail</h3>ArchitectureThe module must operate in asymmetric P2P mode. Because Apple restricts Host Card Emulation (HCE) on iOS, Android devices act as NFC emitters (initiators) while both iOS and Android devices act as receivers.
