Explore Kuching, document the journey, and share it with the world.<h2 class="heading-node">Scope Detail</h2><ul class="list-node"><li>Amazing Race (team submission): Complete points-weighted tasks across Kuching during the programme. The race runs all week, but it is an evenings-and-gaps activity. Your build comes first. You may not finish every task, so choose well.</li><li>Content Award (individual submission): Post about your experience of Kuching and Startup Village Borneo on X. Each member's post also earns 10 points toward their race team's total.</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Content Tasks</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>First impressions of Kuching. A video or picture collage posted on X by 6 September. Tag @superteamMY and @solana, and mention SOCOE. [10 points toward your race team]</li><li>Overall impressions of Kuching and Startup Village Borneo. A video or picture collage posted on X by 10 September. Tag @superteamMY and @solana, and mention SOCOE. [No race points, as the race closes on 8 September. Counts toward the Content Award only.]</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Amazing Race Task Board</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>The Bourdain pilgrimage. Find Choon Hui Cafe and get a team photo outside. It is a morning spot so it may be shut, that is part of the game. Then hunt down a laksa you can actually eat and rank it against a West Malaysian laksa. [6 points]</li><li>Kek lapis at Mama Su. Taste a few, film the first bite, and buy your team's favourite flavour. [4 points]</li><li>Sam's ice cream. Try different flavours, take a picture eating, and tell us the flavour of the day. [3 points]</li><li>Ceylonese restaurant. Try the best cheese naan in town and record yourself stretching the cheese as long as possible. [4 points, extra for the longest cheese pull]</li><li>Cats of Kuching. Team photo at the Kuching cat statue. [2 points, plus 1 per additional cat statue found across the city]</li><li>Kuching Word Sign. Find it at the Waterfront and take the most creative picture you can. [4 points]</li><li>Carpenter Street. Take a picture with 3 unique murals. [3 points, 1 per mural]</li><li>Kuching Waterfront. Pick at least one, maximum 8 points from this station: take a sampan to the Astana or Fort Margherita side and film the ride [8 points], photo leaning against the giant flagpole [2 points], group picture under the giant flagpole [3 points].</li><li>Darul Hana bridge. Cross on foot and take your best photo mid-span. [3 points]</li><li>Old Court House. Team photo, inside or outside, best shot. [3 points]</li><li>Brooke's Dockyard Industrial Heritage Museum. Take a picture with the biggest anchor you can find. [3 points]</li><li>Traditional attire. Photograph five different Sarawakian traditional outfits in the waterfront shops. [5 points, 1 per attire]</li><li>Onboard a real user. Teach someone how to use a crypto product such as a wallet, Jupiter, RedotPay or Sanctum, and document what was hard about it. Teach, do not sell. If they are not interested, thank them and move on. [10 points]</li><li>Photobooth. Take a picture at the Superteam MY x Solana x SOCOE photobooth at Voco Hotel on 6 September. [3 points]</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Submission Requirements</h2><ul class="list-node"><li>Amazing Race: Submit as a team thread on X, tagging all team members, with photo or video evidence for each completed task. Daily standings are announced each morning.</li><li>Content Award: Post individually on X, tagging @superteamMY and @solana, and mentioning SOCOE.</li><li>Deadlines: Amazing Race closes 6:00 PM, Tuesday, 8 September 2026. The overall impressions content task is due 10 September 2026. No late submissions accepted.</li><li>Eligibility: Only registered participants of Startup Village Borneo are eligible. Your race team is separate from your project team.</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Judging Criteria</h2><ul class="list-node"><li>Amazing Race: Highest total points wins. Tasks must have clear photo or video evidence to be counted. In the event of a tie, the team that completed the greater number of distinct tasks wins.</li><li>Content Award: Judged on quality, not points. Creativity and originality, storytelling, production quality, how well it captures Kuching and Startup Village Borneo, and engagement earned.</li></ul><h2 class="heading-node">Reward Structure</h2><ul class="list-node"><li>Amazing Race 1st Place Team: 500 USDG</li><li>Amazing Race 2nd Place Team: 500 USDG</li><li>Bonus Awards: 10 winners receive 100 USDG each</li></ul>
