Superteam Nepal Solana Mini-Hack - 2026

About the Bounty

There has never been a better time to build on Solana. The ease with which anyone can deploy (and also vibecode) a Solana application today was unheard of just two years ago.

The ecosystem has exploded: faster RPCs, better dev tooling, slicker launchpads, and cutting-edge features like Token Extensions, Solana Mobile, and State Compression.

In this bounty, we are inviting you to bring out your laptops, build your first dApp or ship your 100th side-project, and put Nepali tech talent on the Solana map. This is a beginner-friendly mini-hack; even a simple prototype counts. Your mission is to build a working Project on Solana. The ideal submission will have:

1. A team of 2 - 4 members (while solo-hacking is more than welcome)

2. A functional prototype or MVP (anything, no theme) deployed on the Solana blockchain.

3. A clear indicator of what problem statement it solves, and has a creative use case

4. A public GitHub repo with a clear README, a live link (if possible), and a 3-minute (max) demo video explaining the project and its broader implications. 

5. Builds in public and shares the project on X/Linkedin 

6. Brownie points for projects that explore and experiment with applications around Janamat, open governance and civic data technology like zkid, zkpasport etc.

Submission Requirements

• Your Submission needs to have a 3-minute (max) demo video posted on platforms like Loom/YouTube

• A public GitHub repository and a clear README file with a project description

• A live link, if applicable 

Ideas to Build

You’re not required to build these ideas, but encouraged:

• Confidential‑transfer payment demo – A peer‑to‑peer payment app that mints a token with the confidential transfer extension and allows users to send and receive amounts privately.

• Janamat engagement engine – A gamified civic participation layer that rewards verified citizens with points every time they interact on Janamat (votes, comments, streaks, wins, referrals) and ranks them through constituency-level and category-based leaderboards to drive sustained, high-quality civic engagement.

• ZK civic identity – A privacy-preserving governance identity system using ZKPassport/ZKID that lets citizens prove eligibility (citizenship, age, constituency) without revealing personal data, enabling anonymous yet verifiable participation in open governance processes.
