Twitter Thread on DA Landscape

About the Bounty

Looking for a twitter thread about the current Data Availability (DA) space, in particular the thread should discuss 3 major points:

1. Why did the need for alterative (Non Ethereum) DA layers arise?

2. What are the trade-offs that are made with alternative DA layers?

3. What is Ethereum currently working on that could compete with the rise of alternative DA layers and how do they weigh up against each other

The focus should be less on a generic landscape analysis, and more on a framework for understanding and assessing DA layers. The tone should be one of critical thinking rather than explanatory, for this reason it would be more pertinent to focus on points 2 and 3 in more depth.  

Your Mission: Write a twitter thread on the trade-offs and relevant concerns surrounding the rise of alternative DA layers around 500 words or less.

Evaluation Criteria

Depth

• Did you understand the true need for DA?

• Did you seek out the pros and cons of the different DA solutions beyond surface level analysis?

• Did you think critically about what may make a successful DA layer in the long run?

• Did you weigh up how the landscape may evolve as sector leaders pull away?

• Did you provide any critical frameworks to assess what could determine a sector leader?

Writing Style

• Is your writing straight forward and engaging to read?

• Did you explain concepts in a way most levels of crypto enthusiasts could understand? (not written for lay-persons but people already familiar with the space to some extent)

• Is your writing driven by both research and independent thought?
