About The Project 

We are looking for a skilled and creative video editor for our content which is released on multiple channels.

Responsibilities and Skills

The project will involve the end-to-end production of dynamic and visually appealing videos on varied topics. The necessary skills and tools include:

• Proficiency in video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro

• Experience in animation and illustrations.

• Creative storytelling abilities to convey the message in an engaging narrative.

• Remaining available in working hours and keeping up with production deadlines.

Evaluation Criteria

• You’d be a good fit if you know can answer these questions: 

  • What is the point of an adjustment layer

  • When to use an adjustment layer vs effects on the video layer

  • Use basic shortcuts like C to Cut, V to select and B to ripple delete

  • Understand the smoothing of a cut using a zoom

  • Understand the smoothing of a cut using a scale up/down by at least 20%

  • Syncing a clips audio

  • Crop and Transform effects

  • Layering effects - Crop on top of transform does 1 thing while the other way around does another thing

  • Safe margins

  • Understand when a video has to be overedited and when it shouldn’t

    
    

• Satisfactory sample edit of a 10-15 second clip with guidelines.

Note: Only the shortlisted candidates will be given the sample edit task

Work Hours

• Remote work

• Preferred hours: 10am UTC - 6pm UTC | Monday-Saturday

Requirements

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Fast & reliable internet connection.

• Good computer/laptop.

Estimated Time to Complete

The project is a long term commitment, with a monthly payment.

Note: The selected candidate will be evaluated at the end of 1 month to be considered as a long term part of the team

Payment Logistics

• 100% payment at the completion of 1 month

• pro-rata payment if the candidate is deemed unfit before the completion of 1 month
