Objective: Your job is to identify and list less obvious sources, research contacts and warm ways in, which Superteam UK’s startups can use to secure their first cheques.

Deliverable: A concise guide that lists and explains the opportunities you have found.

Content to include: UK Angel Syndicates, inc. whether they host regular pitch events, who runs the group, contact information, how to apply, etc.; Startup Competitions and Pitch Events (e.g. hosted by universities, large corporates, coworking spaces, incubators etc.); Accelerators that include direct funding, inc. submission dates, evaluation criteria, etc.; Grants offered by government, regional growth funds, DAOs, etc.; Any other innovative ways a Superteam UK startup can raise early funding.

Rating Criteria: Quality over quantity; points for lucrative but less well known opportunities and specific contact information; extra points for opportunities not exclusively web3 but appropriate for web3 startups.

Geography: Opportunities must be easily accessible for UK startups; in-person events UK only; international grants acceptable if UK-based startups can apply.

Points will be awarded for finding lucrative but less well known opportunities, especially if it includes specific contact information (e.g. LinkedIn link or email of the individual who runs the syndicate/event). Generic lists of well known crypto VCs are not valuable.In addition, extra points will be awarded for syndicates, events and opportunities that are not exclusively web3, but are appropriate for web3 startups. We want you to find opportunities that Superteam UK don’t already know about!Geography: Ensure that all opportunities are easily accessible for UK startups. In-person events should be in the UK only, while grants available internationally are valuable if UK-based startups can apply. Submission: Your submission should be in the format of a concise and well-written word document that lists and explains the opportunities you have found. You may also supplement with a spreadsheet to format data, if you believe it would add value. If submitting multiple documents, submit a link to one GDrive containing all docs.
