Create an X thread (formerly Twitter) of up to 8 posts sharing advice on surviving your first hackathon, especially relevant after Colosseum Frontier.
Colosseum Frontier has just finished, and 84% (!) of its participants were first-time participants. Now that it is still fresh in your mind, we want you to share your experience and help others survive their first hackathon.
You do not have to be a first-time hackathon participant to enter this bounty, it is fine if you participated in multiple hackathons before. It is the advice itself that should be focussed towards first-time participants.
Mention at least one hackathon you participated in (does not have to be Colosseum).
Your X thread should cover key aspects of participating in a hackathon, for example (you do not have to cover all of these):
Tips for preparing for a hackathon.
Strategies for collaborating effectively with a team.
Advice on managing time and staying focused during the event/period (especially relevant for long hackathons such as Colosseum).
How to handle challenges and setbacks (e.g., bugs, API issues).
The importance of showing up and learning, regardless of winning.
Reflections on what you wish you had known before your first hackathon.
Insights gained from the experience, even if your project wasn't fully functional.
The value of networking and connecting with other participants and mentors.
A link to your X thread (maximum 8 posts).
The thread must be written in English.
The thread should be clear, engaging, and easy to understand.
Tag @SuperteamNL in your first post.
The first post should mention at least one hackathon you participated in (does not have to be Colosseum).
Clarity and Readability: How well-structured and easy to follow is the thread?
Originality of Insights: Does the thread offer fresh perspectives or unique advice?
Practicality of Advice: How useful and actionable are the tips provided?
Engagement: Is the tone engaging, and does it encourage further discussion?
Relevance: How well does the content align with the theme of "surviving your first hackathon"?
