About Superteam Balkan

Superteam Balkan is a non-profit community that incubates and funds Balkan tech talent building on Solana. We have helped startups raise over $9M and issued more than $500k in non-equity grants. Balkan teams have won prizes at three Colosseum hackathons so far, and this track exists to reward the next ones.

Track Scope

This track is a local prize pool for Balkan teams competing in Colosseum's Crypto World's Fair, the first multichain Colosseum hackathon. You build your project for the global hackathon, submit it there, and this listing pays out the best Balkan submissions on top of anything you win globally.

The hackathon itself is multichain, but this prize pool is for Solana projects, your submission must be built on Solana to win here.

To be clear, this is not a separate competition and not an intro program. If you are entering the Crypto World's Fair from the Balkans, you are already who this is for.

Eligibility

• Your project is built on Solana

• Your team is from the Balkans

• You must register for the hackathon on Colosseum and pick your country during signup

• Your project must be submitted to the Colosseum portal as well as on Superteam Earn

• Your project must be eligible under the official rules of the global hackathon

Judging Criteria

• Ecosystem Impact: does the project contribute real value through infrastructure, tooling, or a product people need?

• Product-Market Fit: is there a clear problem, a defined user, and early signs that the solution works?

• Growth Potential: can the project attract new users or deepen engagement among existing ones?

Rewards

Total pool: $5,000

• 1st place: $1,750

• 2nd place: $1,250

• 3rd place: $1,000

• Best student team: $500 (a team where most members are students)

• Best first-time team: $500 (your first Colosseum hackathon)

Key Dates

• Colosseum submissions close October 12. That is the global deadline, and your project must be in the Colosseum portal by then.

• Demo Day in Belgrade, October 13. Our own closing event, open to everyone, with a $5,000 prize pool and Solana Seeker giveaways for Solana startups. It happens after the Colosseum deadline, so it does not affect your submission.

Build With Us in Belgrade

If you can be in Belgrade, Buildstation runs October 5 to 13, a hackathon coworking in our space, for the final stretch of the hackathon, with mentorship, workshops, pitch practice, and food and drinks every day. Free to join, application required. Demo Day on October 13 closes it out.
