Overview

FON Hakaton – Web4 Challenge 2026 provides students with an opportunity to showcase their skills, creativity, and vision in the rapidly evolving landscape of Web4 and deep technologies. Participants are invited to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that combine emerging technologies while proposing new e-business ecosystems and models.

Challenge Topics

Depending on the chosen challenge, teams may focus on:

• Blockchain-backed products (Solana, EVM)

• Intelligent Automation & AI Integration

• Connected Devices & IoT

• Data-driven Platforms & Digital Twins

• Decentralized Infrastructures

Eligibility

• Who can attend: Students of all levels (undergraduate, graduate, specialist, PhD) and high school students from all around the world.

• Recommendations: Previous knowledge of blockchain technologies (Solana (Rust), Ethereum (Solidity)), AI integrations, or completion of the Bootcamp 2026 is recommended.

Judging Criteria

Projects will be nominated by an expert jury based on criteria similar to global tracks:

• Innovation and Vision: Evaluates the originality of the solution and its vision within the rapidly evolving landscape of Web4 and deep technologies.

• Product Functionality: Assesses the quality, reliability, and performance of the real-world prototype or digital product developed during the hackathon.

• User Experience (UX): Focuses on the design quality and how intuitive and seamless the interaction is for the end-user.

• Technical Execution: Considers the effective implementation of advanced frameworks and technologies, such as smart contracts, AI integration, and IoT.

• Business Viability and Ecosystem Impact: Measures the strength of the technology-driven business concepts and the potential of the proposed new e-business ecosystems and models to create a sustainable impact.

Timeline

• March 22nd: Applications Close.

• March 23rd: Mentorship Program begins (Instructions provided, 2-week development period with mentors).

• April 4th: Final Presentations (Live at FON or Online option available).

• April 6th: Submissions Deadline
