Finance Without Intermediaries: Superteam Poland Challenge at HackYeah

Most transactions today rely on trust: in a bank, a payment provider, a platform or the other party. That middleman takes a fee, decides who gets served, and can block or reverse a transaction.

The challenge: build an app on Solana that removes the need for trust from a financial transaction. Pick a relationship that currently needs an intermediary, such as escrow, freelancer–client payments, crowdfunding with conditional refunds, revenue sharing, parametric insurance, lending or B2B settlements. Then move its terms into an on-chain program. The program executes automatically and identically for every participant, and no one can change it unilaterally.

Prizes (3,000 USDC total):

• 1st place: 1,500 USDC

• 2nd place: 1,000 USDC

• 3rd place: 500 USDC

Requirements:

• A working app on Solana (devnet is enough), not a concept or a mockup

• At least one full user flow: connect wallet → transaction → result visible in the explorer

• The logic that replaces the intermediary must live in the on-chain program, not in your backend

• A clearly named target user, plus a short design rationale: which relationship you redesigned, who the intermediary was, and what changes once it’s gone

• Submission: project description, PDF deck (max 10 slides), video up to 3 minutes, public repo with a README

• Idea & problem choice: 20%

• Real-world potential: 15%

• Originality: 10%
