They picked problems everyone had and happened to solve them from KL.Most Malaysian founders still don't build that way. We size the idea to Malaysia, price it for the local market, and wonder why it stays small.This track is the opposite bet. Start with a problem you actually understand, one you can see from where you are sitting, and build it for the world from day one.Malaysian businesses are a good place to start. Exporters wait days for settlement. Freelancers lose a chunk of every invoice to FX and wire fees. SMEs that could sell to the world stay local because the financial plumbing was never built for them. None of that is uniquely Malaysian. Solve it here and you have solved it for every emerging market with the same problem.Solana is the plumbing. Near-instant settlement, sub-cent fees, stablecoins that move like a message.Build Global, Buatan Malaysia.How this fits with ColosseumColosseum's Crypto World's Fair runs 14 September to 12 October. This edition is open to every ecosystem, with dedicated tracks for Solana, Base, Hyperliquid, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Tempo, Robinhood Chain and Zcash, plus a chain-agnostic general pool.This side track sits on top of the Solana track. Your project competes for Colosseum's prizes as normal and separately for ours.Building on another chain? You are still welcome at everything we run. The build station in KL, the workshops, Roast My Pitch and office hours are open to every team in the hackathon regardless of chain. The prize pool below is for Solana builds.What to buildPick one specific Malaysian user and one specific pain. Some directions:<ul class="list-node"><li>Cross-border payments and stablecoin settlement for exporters, SMEs and merchants</li><li>Global invoicing and payouts for Malaysian freelancers, agencies and creators</li><li>Commerce tools that let local sellers accept payments from anywhere</li><li>Trade and supply chain: invoice financing, provenance, halal certification trails</li><li>Tourism and hospitality payments for inbound visitors</li><li>B2B tools that plug Malaysian businesses into Solana liquidity and DeFi rails</li><li>AI agents that handle cross-border operations (x402, agentic payments)</li></ul>Not limited to these. Name the Malaysian business(es) you are building for and the pain they have today. "SMEs" is a category. "Penang durian exporters waiting five days for payment from China" is a user.</li><li>Working product. Live demo preferred.</li><li>Solana-native. Speed, cost or composability has to be central. A wallet connect button is not an integration.</li><li>Path to users. Who are your first 10 customers and how do you reach them? "Organic growth" is not an answer.</li><li>Regulatory awareness. If you touch payments, stablecoins or tokenised assets in Malaysia, show us you have thought about BNM and the SC. You do not need every answer, you need to know the questions.</li><li>Team.
