Technical Deep Dive : Building Mobile Apps on Solana

About the Bounty

The Solana Mobile Stack provides key technologies for building Android applications that can interact with the Solana network. Building for the Solana Mobile Stack is, at its core, building for Android. The SDK provides enabling libraries for wallets and apps, allowing developers to create rich mobile experiences for the Solana network.

Your mission is to become an expert on the Solana Mobile Stack (SMS) and write the best technical deep dive that helps developers get started with building mobile apps on Solana.

The ideal submission will

• describe all the key elements of the Solana Mobile Stack

• describe the pre-req / setup needed for someone to build on SMS

• explain the differences in building on SMS with and without the Saga phone

• describe all the SDKs available, their stage of development and key trade-offs

• include code snippets / sample programs as appropriate

• outline any other tooling available (e.g. Saganize, CandyPay)

• include brief info about building on Solana & point to further resources

Evaluation Criteria

Depth

• Did you cover all the points mentioned above?

• Is your essay the one-stop-resource for any devs who want to start building mobile apps on Solana?

• Did you join the Solana mobile Discord and get a feel for the community?

Writing Style

• Did you write a compelling introduction and a satisfying conclusion?

• Is your writing easy and fun to read?

• Did you avoid overly complex jargon?

• Did you explain concepts in a way that helps developers get started?

Submission Requirements

• Did you write your essay in English?

• Is your submission at least 1,000 words? Note that typical bounty winners are ~2,000 words.

• Did you include links to your sources under the title “References”? If you have used external sources and no references are included, your bounty could be rejected on grounds of plagiarism.
