LSTs like JitoSOL and mSOL are underutilized in Solana DeFi. Users earn passive yield, but there’s no way to amplify returns or hedge risk without unstaking or complex strategies. Meanwhile, options markets on Solana are still shallow and lack real utility-driven demand.
Possible Solution
LST Options Vaults let users deposit LSTs into automated covered call or put-selling strategies.
- Earn extra yield from options premiums on top of staking rewards
- Choose risk levels (strike %, expiry, etc.) via a simple UI
- LPs get vault shares, and protocols like PsyOptions or Zeta can plug in for execution
- Helps bootstrap real demand for Solana-native options markets
